  • Chief Victor Rothstein

    Victor oversees all operations pertaining to the squad, from personnel, training, equipment, and quality assurance. Outside of SORS, Victor works for University Hospital EMS and attends Rutgers University where he is studying Nursing.

  • President Muntaser Ahmed

    Muntaser, (a.k.a “Mun”) oversees all administrative aspects of the squad, from fundraising to public relations. Beyond his responsibilities at SORS and his love for pickleball, Mun is studying law and has recently graduated from Seton Hall.

  • Treasurer Jeffrey Hark

    Jeff is responsible for the accounting, record-keeping of financial transactions, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Jeff first started with the W. Orange First Aid Squad, then the Maplewood EMS Squad, before joining us.

  • Secretary Sally Barksdale

    Sally is responsible for the record keeping of all squad related details, from meeting minutes to squad history. Outside of EMS, Sally owns a cleaning service and frequently travels during her free time.

  • Director of Development Nikhil Engineer

    Nikhil “Nik” Engineer comes to SORS with years of experience running charities. Originally from London, England, if you ask him, he will adamantly say he could eat Sushi every single day

  • Board Member Tyler Schroers

    Tyler is one of three members of the Board of Directors who represent the entire squad membership in the decision making process. He also volunteers and works at multiple other EMS agencies and is a fire fighter.

  • Board Member Daniel Cohen

    Dan is one of three members of the Board of Directors who represent the entire squad membership in the decision making process Dan is born and raised in SOMa and joined the rescue squad as a cadet in a year that he will not disclose (a long time).

  • Board Member Charlotte Fitzsimmons

    Charlotte is one of three members of the Board of Directors who represent the entire squad membership in the decision making process. You will frequently find her on walks around town with her dog, Evie. Charlotte is a recent college graduate with a bachelors in Marketing.
